A 5-year-old boy in Lake St. Louis, Missouri has opened a car wash as a way to give back to those in need. AJ Keeven set up his business in the parking lot of a Firestone Auto Care business. Called the Cause Wash, his aim is to raise money donated for car washes for sick and needy children.

AJ also opted to send his funds to a local organization. ‘Christmas in July’ is a fund for the Christmas Shoppe at the New Hope Resource Center, a local church, where needy families can shop for goods at a major discount.

Pastor Jennifer Long of Morning Star Church told 5KSDK that the shop gives the poor a dignified way to buy the things they need. AJ’s mother Kristine Keeven said her son decided to open the temporary business as a way to lend a hand.

“I want to help a lot of people,” AJ said.
