A car wash employee in Hornchurch, England, was the victim of a hit and run Friday, run over by a suspect fleeing police in a stolen car. The employee, who worked for a Tesco, survived with a broken leg, according to the Romford Recorder. Emergency responders rushed the 20-something man to an east London hospital.
“Someone was driving off with a stolen car,” Lee Rud, the owner, told the Recorder. “One of the boys was there and they ran him over and then he drove off. It was a hit and run.”
In April, a car wash employee in Texas was crushed between two vehicles. Which begs the question: Are car wash employees more likely to be injured by cars than other people? Share your experience by commenting, sending us an email, or writing on our Facebook wall.
