Countless car wash fundraisers take place daily and to write about each would be redundant. But every once in a while there’s an event so unique it merits a mention. Such is the case for the annual Bearded Carwash in Omaha, Nebraska.Sponsored by the Omaha Facial Hair Society and hosted by The Nifty Bar, this annual event raised $560 last year for charity.

The members of the all-male group boast facial hair in a variety of lengths and styles. The society’s 275 members hold whacky events to raise money for a variety of causes. Their event this Saturday allows attendees to pay whatever they want for a car wash. They’re hoping to draw even more people to the event this year.

“We’re going to be a little more scandalous this year,” society president Mark Beneda told Omaha.com. “Last year, a bunch of us wore short-shorts. This year, I bought a lime green Speedo. I’m sure it will leave a fun tan line to deal with later, but we have no shame. It’s all for charity.
