A car wash chain based in Roseville, California recently announced its plans to open as many as 10 car washes in the state of Utah. The first has already been opened in Utah County’s city of Spanish Fork. The company, Quack Car Wash, hopes to build the other nine over the next two years, Utah Business reports.
The first Quack Car Wash in Utah County will be offering free car washes through Aug. 26 as a promotion for new customers. Its hours will be Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. The business will be closed on Sundays.
Utah Business calls the company’s expansion into Spanish Fork an indication of the company’s recent growth. Quack Car Wash has built new car washes and acquired existing businesses in California, Texas and Colorado in the past. Locations in two other Utah cities — Orem and Springville — are planned or in the works.
“We are thrilled to finally bring our brand of car wash to Utah, where we have many strong ties,” said Jason Johnson, CEO of Quick Quack Car Wash. “We take pride in providing a fast, clean, and fun exterior car wash experience that turns customers into raving fans.”
The chain is known both for its yellow duck mascot, named Quackals, and its year round promotion for elite customers of the car wash company. Members of the program enjoy unlimited washes and free vacuums. The company also has a reputation, among the communities it serves, of supporting local events and hosting fundraisers.
