A Utah and Nevada area car wash chain is expanding into the world of snack food, offering ice cream and popcorn at its locations throughout the two states. Fabulous Freddy’s Car Wash has eight locations in Las Vegas, Nevada and St. George, Utah. The St. George News reported the news in an article last month.
The car wash chain has partnered with vendors for each of the snack foods. The ice cream will be provided by Dippin’ Dots franchises. Dippin’ Dots is a unique twist on ice cream with frozen beads of ice cream instead of the typical creamy consistency. The Kentucky company is now in all 50 states.
The popcorn will come from Doc Popcorn, a national franchise. All flavors of the snack are gluten-free, whole grain, wheat-free and nut-free, according to the company’s site. To celebrate the merger of all three franchises, the car wash held a grand opening event this past weekend. Attendees got free popcorn and ice cream and the chance to win a year’s supply of each.
“The three brands all resonate with the same energy. We’re all focused on fun, convenience and smile creation,”said Jeff Warnick, CFO of Fabulous Freddy’s.“When the Doc Popcorn opportunity presented itself, it only made sense to include the fresh-popped snack in our stores. We’ve never had anything like it before.”
The new car wash sounds like one that recently opened in Southwest Florida. That’s where we told you about a plaza where a car wash, donut shop, gas station and express restaurant would all operate from.
