As car wash business owners from around the country prepare to convene in Chicago for The Car Wash Show, organizers are also gearing up for a second take: in Europe. The International Carwash Association, sensing global car wash market growth, is expanding its industry convention across the Atlantic on Oct. 5-7 in Amsterdam.

“We’re incredibly excited to be launching Car Wash Show Europe,” said ICA CEO Eric Wulf, in a statement announcing Car Wash Show Europe. “While there are other events with a car wash subsection in Europe, this is the only event that is focused on the entire car wash business and the full European market.” Members of the International Carwash Association include car washes and suppliers in more than 25 countries, the organization says.

According to the ICA’s announcement:

The event is also the first European event to be created from within the car wash industry – not from outside of it. A nonprofit organization with members in more than 25 countries and a management board comprised solely of car wash operators and suppliers, Wulf says the ICA is uniquely positioned to launch this event for the benefit of the industry. Partners supporting the event include BTG, the German car wash association, and PetrolWorld Magazine, the leading publication for the retail petroleum industry.

The convention will feature exhibits and seminars similar to the ones available March 31 in Chicago. We reported on one of the seminars, announced earlier this month, that will offer information and guidance for investors looking to get into the car wash business. Other seminars focus on strategies for existing car was businesses.

“The seminars are certainly going to be of interest to car wash operators, with information that’s not available elsewhere,” Gary Dennis, chairman of the ICA board, said about the Car Wash Show Europe. “We’re going to be sharing information about successful car wash operators in different markets, as well as bringing in perspectives from other industries.”
