Registration for the Car Wash Show Europe opened less than a month ago, but already the global industry’s second-biggest conference is attracting broadly representative international attention.
The International Carwash Association, which is hosting the second annual event in Amsterdam in early October, reports that attendees and exhibiting companies are coming in from all over the continent.
While Car Wash Show Europe is still more than six months away, exhibitor and visitor registrations are showing a great diversity of country representation. Visitors from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Poland, Canada, New Zealand, Germany, South Korea, Nigeria, The Netherlands and the United States are already represented. Exhibiting companies have already committed from Germany, Poland, The Netherlands, United States, Italy, Luxembourg and Belgium. Also, most visitor registrations are choosing three-day passes or “all-access” passes, demonstrating strong interest in the many aspects of the event.
The event is modeled on the success of the stateside Car Wash Show, attended by some 6,000 people in Chicago last year and is expected to hit those numbers again in a couple of weeks for this year’s trade conference in Las Vegas. Europe’s car wash industry is booming. In fact, the largest car wash in the world is in Germany. When ICA CEO Eric Wulf visited, he said, “This thing will stand forever.” He has emphasized that one of the most important aspects of the European summit is the lessons car wash businesses can share across the Atlantic.
