Just last month we told you about a quirky Austin, Texas car wash that incorporated animatronic dinosaurs into its decor to make for a truly one-of-a-kind automatic car wash experience. The robotic replicas peak out above the wash and inside of it for a prehistoric twist on the regular tunnel wash experience. Now, owners of that business are offering free car washes to first responders and teachers as a way to give back.

Jurassic  Car Wash announced this promotional idea in an email blast recently, and it’s exactly the kind of promotional idea that has a lasting impact on the local community. In the message, the car wash said that on the first Tuesday of each month, they’ll offer a free car wash to members of a different profession. On Tuesday, Jan. 10 police will receive a free wash. Then on Tuesday, Feb. 14, it will be firefighters. On Tuesday, March 14, teachers will get their turn. Each individual will have to show an ID badge to confirm their position and qualify for the promotion.

Eligible public service members will get a free automatic Deluxe Wash (normally $8), which includes undercarriage wash, super foam brush, double super soap scrub, clear coat protectant, spot free rinse, and high-powered air dry.

To make the event even more fun, additional staff will be present to check IDs and guide traffic. Plus the owner of the wash, John Borek, will bring his famous Batmobile, which he is known for bringing to other charity events in the area. He’s also going to be handing out free T-shirts.

Your car wash might not have dinosaurs like Jurassic Car Wash, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have an equally fun and visual event with the right hype and participants. Be sure to check back to the CarwashBusinessBlog.com to see how the event went.
