The International Carwash Association said the 2016 car wash show had the highest number of attendees for any show they’ve put on in the past 10 years. A press release from the group shows that nearly 8,000 people went to the event in Nashville this month. Contributing to the success was the partnership between ICA and Automotive Oil Change Association.
“Once again, the car wash industry has shown that The Car Wash Show is the event to attend,” said ICA Chief Executive Officer Eric Wulf. “Across both our car wash and fast lube communities, we saw record numbers this year because the Show provides them with tremendous benefits and opportunities.”
The next ICA car wash show will take place in Las Vegas next year from April 4 through April 6. The show will return to Nashville for the 2019 event.
Featured in the ICA’s press release was a bit about the owners of Rising Tide car wash in Florida. The owners told ICA officials that they started their car wash as an employment opportunity for their son who has Autism. But what they found was that employees with Autism were some of the best employees they could have imagined. The owners won this year’s Community Service Leadership Award presented by ICA.
It’s been a good year for Rising Tide, which we’ve featured in a few other posts. The car wash is opening a second location in Florida planned for next year. Read more about that in our latest post.
