Exhibitors are setting up Monday for Tuesday’s kickoff of the Midwest Car Wash Association Expo, a two-day regional gathering of industry business owners and suppliers.

The Expo is being held in the Detroit suburb of Sterling Heights, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday. According to the Macomb Daily newspaper, more than 40 vendors are scheduled to attend.

John Lai, owner of the national Mister Car Wash chain, is slated to be the trade show’s opening speaker. Mister Car Wash has locations throughout the country, including Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri. Recently, he was featured in the local news in Tuscon, Arizona, because of his efforts in empowering the disabled community.

According to the Macomb Daily:

Education sessions will also be available to provide information about Wireless Credit Card Acceptors, Maximixing Your Site and Conveyor Maintenance. More than 40 vendors will offer solutions for car wash operational needs. Tuesday will end with the Michigan Car Wash Hall of Fame and Car Wash of the Year awards.

This will be the second major industry trade show to come to the Midwest this year, after the International Carwash Association held its Car Wash Show in Chicago in March. For information about Tuesday’s Expo, visit the Midwest Car Wash Association website or call 800-610-4512.
