Have you ever thought of a car wash bay as beautiful? Photographer Mark Lyon has.
According to Gizmodo, the photographer noticed “the stark but interesting formal characteristics of these forgotten interiors” and embarked on a tour of car washes across the northern United States. Some are hospital pristine, like the one we’ve posted. Others aren’t. That’s part of the beauty of these “spaces that we move in and out of so fast,” Gizmodo writes.
See the rest on the Gizmodo site or visit Lyon’s website. Buy some prints; they’d sure make great art for any car wash business.
