Quick Quack Car Wash has been in the news a lot lately. Just last month the California-based company held a grand opening for one of its Utah stores by offering 10 days of free car washes. Then we wrote about a neat competition the company was holding for high school students. The essay contest served as a both a nice perk for members of the community and a promotional concept for the company.
Now Quick Quack is holding another grand opening, this time in Texas. The new Amarillo store opens Wednesday and will offer free washes for another 10 whole days, according to Amarillo Globe-News. The new store is actually the fifth in the city of Amarillo.
The 1901 Bell St. location will give out free car washes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Nov. 18 in hopes of drawing in new customers.
Car washes at Quick Quacks on East Amarillo Boulevard, Georgia Street, South Coulter Street and South Grand Street will still cost the normal amount during the promotional period.
It turns out Quick Quack opened its first car wash ever in Amarillo back in 1999. The company is known for its “all you can wash” programs for frequent customers and its free vacuums. Quick Quack Car Wash has 26 locations in California, Texas, Colorado, and Utah. For more info, visit www.DontDriveDirty.com.
According to a press release, the company feels the city will benefit greatly from a fifth location.
“Amarillo was home to the very first Quick Quack Car Wash way back in 1999, and is now home to number 28,” CEO Jason Johnson said. “Our fans in Amarillo will now have five locations to choose from for added convenience and value. We look forward to serving and partnering with these additional communities.”
