This is a great feature the International Carwash Association has produced over the summer, after the 2014 Car Wash Show, that we completely missed. But in their most recent newsletter, they posted a link to this collection of videos of people in the car wash industries. A lot of them have been in the industry for decades, and inherited their businesses from their parents.

The image on the left is Eli and Alex Thomas of Thomas Car Wash, which has been family owned since 1946, when Eli’s father immigrated from Lebanon. (They have a nice-looking website.) “It’s a really good business, but you’ve got to work at it,” Eli, the father, says. He’s planning to pass the company on to his son when he retires.

There’s a whole bunch of these videos. Some are wonderful. Some are goofy, like the repair guy who raised police suspicion when he was working on a car wash at midnight. We’ve posted a few of them below. If any of you reading this have a good car wash story you want to share, just write it up or record your own video and send it to us, and we’ll post it here. Email address is carwashblog@gmail.com. Enjoy!
