milesexpressA Tennesse car wash is teaming up with Meals On Wheels to help bring food to homebound seniors. MILES Auto Spa announced the partnership in a November press release. The two groups are hoping that holiday shoppers will take part in the volunteer opportunity by signing on to become virtual drivers for the nonprofit.

MILES Auto Spa is a full-service auto care center with two locations in Cool Springs, Tennessee. Their partnership with the Meals On Wheels organization in Mid-Cumberland will allow MILES Express customers to make contributions toward the organization. Customers can choose to donate an entire meal or a slice of pie. They’re calling the partnership MILES for Meals On Wheels.

“Mid-Cumberland Meals on Wheels serves many seniors in need throughout our community, and we are humbled to work with this great organization,” said Miles Johnson, Founder of MILES Auto Spa. “Mobility is important to MILES customers – and yet it is what all homebound people lack – so this partnership with Meals on Wheels is a natural fit for us and we hope to help feed those in need during this holiday season and beyond.”

All customers who donate will be entered into contests for free services at MILES locations. MILES will also give free car washes to all Meals On Wheels drivers who volunteer for the organization.

Each year, Mid-Cumberland Meals On Wheels drives more than 350,000 miles to serve over 300,000 meals to seniors.
