Are you one of the car washes across the country honoring veterans this year? Thousands of businesses will be participating in recognizing those who have served on Nov. 11 by offering free car washes. The move is part of a national program started by a Pennsylvania man.

Mike Mountz used to own Cloister Wash & Lube in Pennsylvania. He started the program Grace for Vets as a way to give back. There’s still plenty of time to register your car wash business to participate this year. Do so by visiting the group’s website at GraceForVets.org.

As a bonus this year, Sheetz has announced that it will join in on the program. The gas station and convenience store chain will not only offer free car washes to veterans, they’ll also chip in a free meal. Veterans who visit one of the 140 Sheetz car washes will also get a free sandwich and drink.

The annual program has 3,100 car washes participating this year. Other national chains will participate including 7-Eleven. For the complete list, visit the program’s site.
